Unless you’ve been ignoring illuminated warning lights on your dashboard for months on end, you’re probably not anticipating your van to break down.
It can happen to anyone at any time, so it’s important you know the correct steps to take if an emergency arises.
First, pull off as far to the side of the road as possible when it is safe to do so, and call us on 01704 225588 in the UK, or +441704 225588 from other parts of Europe, and let us know the situation.
If you can, use the map on your smartphone to pinpoint your exact location so that our recovery operators can reach you faster.
Whilst you wait for us to arrive, switch on your hazard lights and parking lights if it’s dark or visibility is otherwise low.
With 3,500 vehicles and technicians, we can be with you within the hour, and we make it to 95% of callouts within 35 minutes!
The cost of van breakdown cover depends on several different factors.
For example, the older the van that you want to cover and the more miles it’s clocked up, the more expensive breakdown cover will be, as with age and higher mileage comes the increased likelihood of breakdowns.
You’ll also pay more if you decide to add European breakdown cover – be it for 31, 90 or 120 days – and of course, the longer you need the additional cover for, the more expensive it’ll be.
Personal breakdown cover also costs more than vehicle cover, and the cost of your policy will increase with every name you add on. You can pay for your van breakdown cover in one lump sum or spread the cost over 12 months – whichever is easiest and most convenient for you!
You will be covered in the following countries.
